Obama Orders “Sharp Increase” in Drone Murders, Enjoy Your Hope and Change, America.

Obama orders ‘sharp increase’ in drone strikes: Report – The Express Tribune.

Nothing says “Hope and Change” like murdering defenseless children and other civilians with a non-human, unfeeling drone from the skies, and our dear leader wants to kill even more.  We’re losing, or have nearly lost, our value for human life.

A person remotely controlling the murdering UAVs far from the slaughter is bound to become desensitized; killing innocent people will become the norm. When will people realize that the government will not stop taking our rights or killing in the name of money unless we stop them NOW?

Probe US drone civilian casualties: United Nations

It’s about time someone spoke out against this disgusting murder; too bad it is another corrupt group that  perpetrates the most heinous of human atrocities around the world.

We’re all flawed; we’re all difficult, ignorant, and selfish at times, but we are all human. None of us are worth more than anyone else. My life is no more valuable than that of an addict in the ghetto, or a hungry child in China, or an Afghani trying to defend his village from the foreign occupying forces that rape and unjustly kill innocent civilians. And my life is no less valuable than the flesh and bones of Obama, Angelina Jolie, or Bob Dylan.  If we forget this, we lose our humanity, and in turn, we lose; we lose everything, we lose at life.

Peace and love my brothers and sisters. Remember we’re all on the same team.  US vs THEM.

Obama Abandons Hope & Change, Embraces John McCain To Portray Romney As Right Wing Nut

Obama Embraces John McCain To Draw Contrast With Mitt Romney Ahead Of 2012 Election | Huffington Post

June 4, 201215 Militants Killed in Suspected US Drone Strike in Pakistan | CNN

(This blog post was written before the above headline broke.  This would bring total deaths from U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan this year to an estimated   117 to 132, making it the the  20th U.S. drone attack on Pakistan in 2012.)

An alternate title I came up with is “Obama Wants to Make McCain Look Cool To Make Romney Look Even More Uncool; Meanwhile U.S. At War With Pakistan.”   I say war because Obama has ordered 19 drone strikes just this year, killing between 102 and 117 people.  That is an act of war, but since no official has announced it, it just doesn’t exist, I suppose.    2 + 2=4, I promise.

I really loathe politicians and their expensive political theater, but I thought this was an interesting piece because it calls out the real reasons behind Obama’s uncomfortably fuzzy embrace of McCain.  It is obviously a ploy, with the goal being to paint Romney as a right wing extremist.  If they’re trying to propagate  the image of Romney being an extremist who actually wants to live by The Constitution, they have their work cut out for them.  If they want to shape his character into an extremist who is an uneducated racist,  constantly talks about guns, and hates anyone who isn’t Christian, they have their work cut out for them.

AP | Pakistan: US missile attack kills 4 in northwest

26 May

By RASOOL DAWAR, Associated Press

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — An American drone fired two missiles at a bakery in northwest Pakistan Saturday and killed four suspected militants, officials said, as the U.S. pushed on with its drone campaign despite Pakistani demands to stop. This was the third such strike in the country in less than a week.

Drone attacks in Pakistani tribal areas where Afghan and other militants have found refuge are considered a key tactic by U.S. officials in the war against al-Qaida and its Taliban supporters. But many Pakistanis resent the strikes, which they consider an affront to their sovereignty.

Two Pakistani intelligence officials said the latest attack took place in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal region.

The officials said the victims were buying goods from a bakery when the missiles hit. Residents were still removing the debris, officials said. All of the dead were foreigners, but the officials did not have any information on their identities or nationalities.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media. The U.S. rarely talks publicly about the covert CIA-run drone program in Pakistan.

Drone strikes have become an increasingly contentious issue between Washington and Pakistan. Pakistan’s parliament has demanded the U.S. end all attacks on its territory.
